We are an integrative program that addresses the medical needs of cancer patients, through virtual care, lowering costs and allowing patients to receive healthcare from their homes.
Who is considered a cancer survivor?
Cancer survivorship begins at the point of diagnosis and continues throughout life.
Who can benefit?
Adult cancer survivors (18+) at any time following diagnosis: newly diagnosed, during treatment, remission, and beyond are all eligible to work with us.
What is Virtual Primary Cancer Survivor Care?
This area of medicine is designed to treat medical conditions caused by cancer treatment. We work with you and your oncologist to improve the physical and mental illnesses associated with a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
When should I start receiving survivorship care?
Our standard of care is designed to treat cancer patients from diagnosis to treatment and after treatment.
What can I expect during my visits?
You will meet a team of clinicians who specialize in cancer care and who will work with you to meet your healthcare needs and goals.
What is the difference between a long-term and late effect?
Long-term refers to illnesses that develop during treatment and continue through the end of treatment and beyond. Late effects are conditions that don't show up until after treatment ends, possibly several years past the end of treatment. Late effects can also become long-term effects.
I’m afraid/anxious/depressed? How do I deal with these feelings?
A cancer diagnosis can evoke feelings of fear, anxiety, and sadness. Survivor Healthcare addresses these issues holistically by Processing emotions with one of our licensed therapists can help you maintain resiliency through treatment.
How can I improve my health following cancer treatment?
Improving your health results from eating nutrient-dense foods, sleeping better, and engaging in appropriate physical activity. It can also involve meeting with a counselor and learning about lifestyle modifications or medications. Each individual will have different goals and treatment plans. You’ll work with our clinicians to determine what’s right for you.
Does my insurance cover this?
Finances during cancer care can be hard. We work with insurance companies to support the utilization of survivorship services and will bill them accordingly. Our goal is to make sure you don’t incur any out-of-pocket costs for the care you receive from us.
Where do the appointments take place?
Visits with Survivor Healthcare are exclusively via telemedicine. You can have your visit anywhere you feel comfortable and have internet access!
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We will bill only your insurance.
What does it cost?
We work with your insurance to cover your visits. We don't surprise bill, and we definitely don't balance bill. We value your care above all else.
